Trained as a Fine artist at Wakefield School of Art in 1978 and followed with BA Hons Fine Art and Sculpture at Winchester School of Art , UK
In 1970 's art students had little opportunities but trying to sell in main stream galleries . Many galleries didn't want to take you because you were not a known name . Talent was largely irrelevant and the critics were cruel . I decided to continue to paint privately and pursued a career in Nursing and Midwifery qualifying as a state registered nurse and a midwife and rose quickly through the ranks to the pinnacle of my career midwifery matron . sole manager of the Lindo Wing ,in Paddington and cared for the Royal Family and also was in part operational manager at St Marys Paddington . However my passion was always impressionistic painting and I had my first exhibition in 2009 with artgallery.co.uk at the Malvern Theatres in Worcestershire and later showed in Regents park
Exhibitions followed at Brompton road gallery 2017 , Norman Plaistow Gallery 2022 Wimbledon , Bobcat Gallery Putney 2025
Resident Artist at Corner Gallery in Carlshalton selling with them for over 12 years
