Born in 1963 in North Rhine-Westphalia, Kurt Nägele currently lives and works in Wismar, Germany.
After various apprenticeships in crafts and technical fields, he discovered photography in his late twenties.
International success in nature photography encouraged him to become a freelance photographer in 2004. In the following years, his images were presented in various exhibitions and publications.
Beyond artistic photography, he has been exploring other ways of expressing movement and color for some time. This led to the development of his unique "carving" technique.
