This lovely sandy beach is at the bottom of the En-Vau cove. Surrounded by high cliffs and bathed in transparent turquoise water, it is one of the most beautiful and impressive coves in Marseille. In the background, you can make out the cliff plunged into darkness. On the rocks to the right, a few stunted pine trees are trying to survive. In the foreground, bathers enjoy this incomparable setting. A watercolor and some sketches made in-situ in summer served as studies for this work.
