A prestigious journey from the Fujifilm Euro Press Photo Award to Alchemical Mixed Media, blending historical techniques with contemporary vision.
Gill Borghesi is a multi-awarded Italian artist whose career spans over two decades of international recognition, from winning the Fujifilm Euro Press Photo Award in Lisbon to having works acquired by the SilvaSuriMuseum. His research, defined as "Alchemical Pictography," transforms visual memory into physical substance using sunlight as a catalyst and natural elements like pure pigments, metallic oxides, and egg albumin. A regular protagonist at Milan Design Week and a recipient of the "Best of HOUZZ" award, Borghesi creates unique masterpieces that bridge the gap between ancient craftsmanship and contemporary abstraction. Each piece is a unique result of a slow conversation between the artist and the elements.
Technical Data:
Medium: Mixed Media (Metallic oxides, egg albumin, pure pigments on wood/ceramic).
Process: Stratified Alchemical Pictography (Sunlight-catalyzed reaction).
Origin: Handmade in Merlino (Milano), Italy.
