Start with abstract forms or with the 1,000 to 2,000 euro band. The description should state type of rock, weight, dimensions and surface treatment. Ask about impregnation if the piece is to stand outdoors, and put it on firm ground. For care a dry brush is usually enough, but avoid standing water if the stone is porous. With pieces that have a rough surface, photos in side light show the structure best.
