Strict form, mixed substances
Modern in thought and mixed in construction: mixed media joins the clean line of modernism with curiosity about material. Modern mixed media sculptures for sale at 500 to 1,000 euro suit those who enjoy a contrast of smooth and rough.
Modern mixed media sculptures combine, for example, metal with wood, concrete with glass, stone with textile. The form stays reduced while the materials carry the tension. A polished steel edge stands next to raw wood, a dark block next to a light insert. This creates a calm but not boring effect. Each material changes over the years in its own way.

To consider before buying
Ask how the materials are joined, because metal and wood expand differently. A stable spot away from heating and windows protects the joints. Note dimensions and weight and check the footprint. Care for the piece with a dry, soft cloth. The contrast between warm wood and cool metal makes up the appeal of such works and keeps them legible even from a distance.
