Expression through surface
Metal figures stay present in a room, whether as a tabletop statue or a human-sized form. You can look for metal statues for sale in smooth, rough, patinated or bare finishes, sometimes naturalistic, sometimes strongly stylized.
With metal figures the surface shapes the character: smooth casting feels classical, coarse welding modern, rust archaic. Features, hands and drapery can be worked finely in casting, merely suggested in sheet. Both have their charm.

If you want dynamics, look at expressive and gestural work, and if you have a budget in mind, at 2,000 to 5,000 euro. Statues are one-offs or part of editions, and the description should say which.
Stability and safety
A heavy statue must stand securely even if someone bumps into it. Ask about base plate, fixing and weight. For outdoor placement weather protection and patina count, indoors a non-slip base helps. Signature and year are standard.
