Skin instead of rock
Rubber statues are a counter-position to tradition: a figure, yes, but without the hardness. Anyone looking at statues in rubber for sale should know that posture, skin and weight interact differently here than in stone or bronze.
Rubber carries details such as pores, creases or hair texture, taken over when the figure is molded in silicone. The skin can feel almost alive, warm under the hand and slightly yielding. The form still stays legible: a good statue in this material shows posture without sagging into itself.

Pointers for choosing
Look at whether the figure is solid, hollow or built around a core, since stability and weight depend on it. The range starts with figures at 1,000 to 2,000 euro and continues to large statues at 2,000 to 5,000 euro. Before placing one, check for heat sources, because warmth softens rubber and makes it brittle over the long run. Do ask for a photo of the figure in a room so you can judge its scale.
