Relief on paper
Collagraphy means building the printing plate yourself: from card, fabric, sand, glue, and varnish, until a relief emerges. Anyone who wants to buy collagraphs for sale likes structure, embossing, and sheets you can almost feel.
In pressing, the paper travels into every depression of the plate and takes on its shape. Rough parts ink deeply, smooth ones stay light. As a result, collagraphs show flowing transitions that no other printing process produces in quite this way.

Textures in light
Side light makes collagraphs come alive. Hang them next to a window or under a track lamp, and the embossing shows. Good frames keep the glass at a distance from the surface so nothing presses. The paper must be thick enough to carry the embossing.
Selection and price ranges
Collagraphs are frequently abstract, and work in ink shines through dark depths. Price-wise many sheets sit under 500 euro or between 500 and 1,000 euro. Ask about edition, paper weight, and the sealing of the plate.
