Riddles from cuts
Surrealism in linocut arises from black-and-white contrasts in which the everyday twists: hands turn to roots, houses to faces. Surreal linocuts for sale under 500 euro suit you if you want the enigmatic joined to craft.
The hardness of the material forces simplification, and that is exactly what makes dream images tangible. Areas without gradation make figures look like shadows and lines like tracks in snow. Typical are motifs like masks, moon faces, entwined hands, or animals in architecture.

Effect in the living space
Surreal linocuts bring tension without filling the room. A black frame strengthens the nocturnal, a light wooden frame takes away its heaviness. The two paths lead to different tones. The firm structure of the cut holds the fantastic together and gives it posture.
Notes for the description
Check whether the sheet is part of a numbered edition and how many blocks were used. Linocuts are customary in small editions, and a price under 500 euro often reflects the format rather than the idea. Notice the paper in the description too: thin Japanese paper feels fragile, handmade paper sturdy.
