Dream logic in print
Surreal printmaking joins the familiar with the impossible: an eye in the sky, a staircase to nowhere, an animal with hands. Surreal sheets for sale under 500 euro are for walls where one likes to look twice.
Surreal motifs live on exactness within the impossible. Etching and woodcut suit this because they hold detail precisely, while silkscreen creates unreal moods with clear fields of color. Humor and poetry are part of the Surreal as well, along with the uncanny.

Pictures that keep you thinking
A surreal sheet needs distance from loud neighbors. Hang it where you pass every day: hallway, workspace, reading corner. After a few weeks you often discover a detail that had escaped you. A small format condenses the riddle, a large one lets details breathe freely.
Technique and selection
Many surreal works are made as linocut, which with its hard contrasts tends toward the nocturnal. Ask in the description about edition and paper, and choose a dark wooden frame if the picture is somber. Combine surreal sheets with plain furniture so the picture keeps the lead role.
