Cutting as visual language
An abstract linocut gets by without depiction: cuts become rhythm, flats become weight. Abstract linocuts for sale under 500 euro are collected here, in which black and color stand like building blocks.
Without an object the cut itself becomes the motif. Long grooves generate movement, short strokes grain, broad areas left standing weight. The gouges leave traces that open up on a second look. A sheet in black on white feels severe, one in two colors almost cheerful.

Strong contrast on the wall
Because linocut works with light and dark, such sheets carry distance well. They suit stairwells and living rooms. A white mat makes the black seem even deeper. Over the years the impression barely changes, because the ink sits firmly on the paper.
On the price range
Linocuts are comparatively economical to produce, so original sheets in this range can often come in decent sizes. In the description, look for numbering, signature, and paper. With multicolor pulls, look at the registration: the colors should meet cleanly.
