Portrait, still life, landscape
Classical photography trusts composition: foreground, middle ground, horizon, and everything sits where it should. Classical ink prints from 500 to 1,000 euro are for sale for anyone who wants a picture that measures itself against the tradition of the silver print.
Classical subjects are portraits, still lifes and landscapes with a clear build. In ink printing, the result comes surprisingly close to black-and-white film when a paper with a slightly creamy tone is chosen. The midtones then carry the mood, not the effect.

Wood frame and wall color
A walnut or oak frame and a mat in natural white suit the character of these pictures. Warm wall colors such as sand or green support the impression, while cold whites make it look sober.
Details of the edition
In this price class, the edition, the numbering and a hand signature matter. Also ask whether the sheet is acid-free paper, which stays stable over a long time and does not yellow. If you love tradition, hang two sheets of the same format symmetrically side by side.
