Think size and paper together
A large photo print pulls the eye in first and then lets it wander into the detail, until paper texture and fine grain show. If you are looking for photographs on photo paper for sale between 1,000 and 2,000 euro, you probably want a picture with scale and presence.
The bigger the print, the more the paper matters: finely textured surfaces forgive grain, smooth ones show every edge. Whether a motif can breathe in a room becomes clear at a distance. A picture for the whole living room needs different space than one for a hallway wall, and it pays to tape the dimensions to the wall first.
