What under 500 euro can mean
A small print in the hand has more warmth than a big poster. Photos as prints under 500 euro are for sale for anyone looking for a handy original for the home.
In this tier, originals are typically smaller formats, works on paper and young positions. Photographic prints from postcard to magazine size are common, often signed in the photographer’s own hand.

Small and well placed
A small photograph gains from its place: on a shelf, at the edge of a mirror or in a gallery wall with other sheets. A wide mat makes it look more valuable, a simple interchangeable frame is enough to start.
What to look for
Ask about the process, the paper, the edition and whether the sheet is signed. An overview of techniques is given by black and white and photography. If you start small, you can keep collecting simple: one theme, one format, one frame. That way a series grows that belongs together, without each sheet having to be justified on its own.
