Structure over anecdote
Modern photography loves clean lines, calm planes and a composition you could almost measure. If you would like modern photo prints for sale at 1,000 to 2,000 euro, you get arrangements that suit uncluttered rooms.
Instead of telling a story, the picture speaks in geometry: façades, shadows, horizons, grids. A print on photographic paper renders these edges cleanly, especially in deep black and pure white areas. In this price tier the sizes are usually large enough for the lines to shape the room.

Suited to simple rooms
Light walls, little furniture, a sideboard underneath: in that setting a modern photograph works best. Leave air all around it so the composition does not compete with other pictures. An office with glass walls and a wooden floor also gives it a good stage.
Check frame and dimensions
With a strict layout every crooked frame shows. Look at the exact dimensions, the share of paper margin, and whether the photograph is signed and numbered. A slim frame without decorative molding supports the character of the picture.
