The unaltered picture
Straight photography lives from a moment, a light and a point of view falling together, and a print on photographic paper carries exactly that. If you want to find photographs on photo paper for sale between 1,000 and 2,000 euro, you will probably choose by subject and size.
Here the photograph stands alone, without montage or overpainting. That makes the choice simple: do you like the crop, the tonality, the mood? The quality of the paper then decides how deep the blacks and how fine the highlights turn out, especially at larger sizes.

Place in the home
Landscape, portrait or street scene work best at eye level. A larger print needs a free wall, while a smaller one groups nicely with several others. Hung above a piece of furniture, it should take up about two thirds of that piece’s width.
Questions worth asking
With original prints, edition, numbering and signature count. Also note the paper and whether the margins are wide enough for a frame with a mat. A note on the year the print was made can be revealing too.
