When color takes the lead
Modern color photography lives on saturated fields and exact composition. You can buy modern color photographs for sale at 1,000 to 2,000 euro to good effect if you look closely at print quality and color stability.
In modern color photography a handful of tones decides the picture. A red door, a strip of sky, a shadow on plaster: the choice of color is part of the composition and is tuned carefully in the print. Especially appealing are motifs in which color and structure heighten each other, such as glossy paint beside rough concrete or water against brick.

Picking up room colors on purpose
A photo with a strong field of color can dominate an apartment or quietly complete it. Repeat one hue from the picture in a cushion, rug or vase, and the wall looks considered rather than accidental. Indirect daylight is ideal.
Durability and print type
Pigment prints are considered especially lightfast, yet every print fades in constant sun. In the range from 1,000 to 2,000 euro, size, paper and edition are the points to compare. A signature on the back or margin is common.
