Perspectives in layers
Cubism breaks things into planes and reassembles them so that front and side views are present at once. You can find cubist oil paintings from 5,000 to 10,000 euro for sale here, with clear structure and a strong palette.
The cubist picture is like a blueprint: planes overlap, edges cut across one another, tones lie in geometric blocks. Oil can make this structure material, with matte and glossy zones side by side. A guitar neck or a face appears from several angles.

Order on the wall
A large cubist painting structures the room with lines and planes. It suits modern architecture as well as classic period apartments. Choose a wall with enough distance so the structure can be grasped from several yards.
Notes for buying
Note signature, dimensions, type of support and certificate. Ask whether the work was laid out freehand or with templates and how thick the oil layer is. These details show the way of working and help when comparing with other pictures.
