Measure and proportion
Modern painting uses the large format to make proportion and stillness visible. If you want a picture as the center of a room, modern acrylic paintings for sale from 1,000 to 2,000 euro are worth a look.
The larger a modern picture, the more proportions matter: where a field ends, how close two tones lie, how much emptiness remains. Acrylic gives these decisions clear boundaries and lets surfaces appear very even. Collectors of modern art often care about stance rather than subject. Ask yourself whether the picture changes your wall when you imagine it, and whether it will still have something to say to you in years to come.

Center of the wall
Hang it centered above a long piece of furniture or leave it alone on the wall. A bright room with few objects heightens the effect, a dark one gives contrast.
Criteria for choosing
Check the run of the edges, evenness of color and painted sides. The back also reveals care: hanging system, label, date.
