Fog, shadow, riddle
Surreal ink painting makes the impossible look matter-of-fact: a tree with hands, a room without a ceiling, a staircase that ends in fog. Surreal paintings in ink under 500 euro are for sale here for those who like pictures with a false bottom.

In the room, for lingering
Surreal works belong where you often pause: beside the door, in the hallway, above the bookshelf. Dimmed light strengthens the atmosphere, very bright light makes details clearer. A dark frame accentuates the nocturnal.
Questions before buying
Under 500 euro, works on paper and smaller canvases are typical. Ask about the lightfastness of the ink, about the signature, and whether the picture was varnished or fixed. The photo in the description often shows how the paint ran.
