Time made visible
Large abstract pencil works build spaces out of lines in which one can get lost. You can find abstract paintings with pencil from 2,000 to 5,000 euro for sale here, ideal if you want concentration and calm on the wall.
A dense mesh of lines shows how long someone has worked on a surface. In the upper price tier such works are often very large and carry layers of graphite, acrylic and chalk. From a distance they look like landscape, up close like woven cloth.

With room and light
Large sheets and panels need walls without competition, ideally with soft, directional light. Ask about framing under museum glass and about the state of the graphite. At this size, a note on signature and certificate belongs in the description.
Lighting with a plan
Dense graphite areas glisten in raking light and vanish against backlight. A track with swiveling spots, set from the side, brings out the structure. Avoid hot halogen lamps directly at the picture, since heat strains paper and pigment.
