Structure from line and plane
Large abstract charcoal pictures work with rhythm, weight and white space. Abstract paintings with charcoal from 2,000 to 5,000 euro are for sale here, with black that orders rooms and gathers light around itself.
Without an object, the composition lives on tensions: thick against thin lines, dense against open zones. Charcoal allows corrections and leaves traces where something was rejected. Those traces make the picture alive. An armchair or a long sideboard in front gives the picture a calm base.

Format and hanging
At this level, large canvases that carry a wall alone are common among originals. Plan for space: a picture of this kind needs a viewing distance of several yards. A plain shadow-gap frame emphasizes the surface.
Mind the durability
Abstract charcoal works are often secured with fixative or a transparent medium. Ask about it, and do not hang the picture unprotected in a busy spot. The description should name the materials used.
