Originals in this selection, Watercolor, Expressive and gestural, under 500 euro.
Flowing, tilting, soaking in
Watercolor with a gestural hand means the water leads and the artist responds. Expressive watercolors under 500 euro for sale speak to anyone who values color runs, drips, and bold brush sweeps on paper.
Tilt the sheet and pigment travels. Wet the paper first and colors bloom at the edges. Gestural watercolorists leave those accidents in place and lay quick, dry strokes over them. Where paint hit dry paper, hard edges remain in between.

Paper makes the difference
Heavy watercolor paper hardly buckles and soaks up rich color. Thin paper ripples. The description should state the weight and type of paper, and whether it is handmade or machine made. The wetter the sheet, the softer the edge; the drier, the sharper the trace.
Framing and wall space
Watercolors need air between paper and glass, which is what a mat is for. A white border calms the wildness of the color and lifts the sheet from the wall. Mid-sized sheets are common for originals at this price level. If you like, ask for a photo in daylight so the tones can be trusted.
