On wood, paper, or cloth
Acrylic works on many supports and gives impressionist pictures a wide range of surfaces. Impressionist acrylic pictures for sale in the 1,000 to 2,000 euro range are best chosen with an eye on support and paint application.
Whether canvas, wood panel, or board, impressionist acrylic takes on the character of its support. On wood the paint stands firm and clear, on paper it turns brighter and lighter. The short strokes set side by side remain recognizable in every case.

Stories of light
Impressionism tells of light: reflections in a pond, patches of sun on a path, haze above a field. Acrylic manages this in bright, clear colors that hold up to sunlight in a room. A spot next to the window brings the picture to life.
Notes for choosing
Read which support was used, whether a varnish is present, and how the picture is hung. Paper calls for glass, wood usually needs no frame. If you prefer canvas, look for the support details and the depth of the picture.
