Found object meets dream
Collage and acrylic bring Surrealism closer to its roots, since displacement and found object belonged together early on. Surreal pictures in acrylic and collage on canvas for sale between 1,000 and 2,000 euro suit those who want to see the absurd in the material.
A cut-out eye, a scrap of map, a shred of tissue paper: in surreal collage, things that do not belong together are brought together. Paint binds them so the absurd lies on the canvas as if self-evident. That is exactly what irritates and intrigues.

Density and emptiness
Collages work better when the wall around them stays calm. A light background carries details well, a dark one makes paper edges glow. Hang the picture so people can step close, since the small breaks are the appeal.
Checking the workmanship
Ask about the kind of papers, adhesive, and varnish and whether the components are lightfast. A canvas with additional layers gets heavier, so a sturdy hook is a must. A frame with a shadow gap protects the edges of the collage.
