Few means, strong stance
Minimalism limits itself to few means so that every decision counts. You can find minimalist mixed media for sale from 500 to 1,000 euro, such as a quiet field in acrylic with a single trace of material.
Minimalist mixed media gets by with a handful of materials: a ground tone, an edge, a grain. That is why every nuance counts, a slight roughness, a hint of gold, a paper cut. The appeal lies in restraint and in precision of execution. Look long enough and you notice how one single intervention shifts the whole balance of the surface.

Empty wall, full effect
Minimalist works need space. Hang them on a free surface with no picture group beside them, and the reduction pulls the eye in. In tidy rooms with light walls and few pieces of furniture they find their natural place.
What to look for
In reduced pictures, execution matters: even application of color, clean edges, no dust inclusions. Check the photos and the description. Painting in mixed media is possible here too and can have a fine relief character. It also makes sense to ask for the size with frame, so the proportions come out right in the end.
