Few means, strong stance
Minimalism takes away until only the necessary remains: one plane, one line, one hue. Minimalist mixed media works with oil pastel are for sale in this price band when a single accent in the room is enough.
In reduced works every inch counts. Oil pastel shows every hand motion, every density in the application, every slight tremor. That gives the surface a texture that photos often lose and that becomes visible only on the wall. On paper the difference between a dense and a thin application stands out particularly, since nothing from the ground distracts. Look for evenness, but also for small irregularities that give the sheet life.

White room, light frame
Minimalist sheets love emptiness. A light frame, a big mat border and an uncluttered wall let them breathe. In dark rooms, by contrast, a single light sheet can work like a window of light.
What matters
With very calm pictures, small things matter: edges, stains, dust residue. Have the condition described exactly and ask for the dimensions including the margin.
