The plane as protagonist
Reduced color fields, few gestures, calm rhythm: minimalism in painting demands exactness. Minimalist mixed media painting with oil pastel is for sale when you want to enliven a wall quietly.
In this painting one color plane stands alone, bounded by an edge or touched by a second color. Oil pastel supplies density without brush marks, and the soft edge leaves a feeling of warmth.

Placed against the wall
Minimalist pictures ask for no accessories. A large sheet above a bench or a sideboard is enough. If you combine two small works, keep the center line at an identical height.
Notes
On single-color fields scratches and stains show immediately. So ask about condition, careful packing and a frame with a gap to the glass. Plan for light with color fields too. Matte walls with side daylight let the surface work, while spotlights from the front make the grain of the oil pastel look flat.
