Traces that remain
Gestural painting on a large scale shows how movement becomes composition. You can buy gestural mixed media painting for sale from 2,000 to 5,000 euro here, with layers that capture tempo and weight.
Here you see where the brush started, where it lifted, where hands stepped in. Mixed media additions such as chalk, ink or wax let the traces echo in different ways. Some areas shine, others swallow light. The composition stays legible all the same: focal points, pauses and changes of direction spread across the surface like a musical score.

Movement in the room
Gestural paintings need run-up. A wall without competition is ideal, and a distance of several paces helps to read the large lines. Hung in a stairwell, they are experienced anew as you walk.
Questions before deciding
For paintings from this size, details on canvas, stretcher and varnish matter. Inquire about care advice and whether the picture should be framed. An inscription on the back is also a plus.
