Color that gleams
Expressive painting on metal shows momentum twice: in the stroke and in the shine that accompanies it. Painted, gestural mixed media with metal is for sale if you prefer color with an edge and a gleam.
A broad brush does not drag on sheet metal as it does on canvas, it glides. That produces long sweeps, streaks and smooth edges. Where paint stays thin, the metal shows through and gives the picture a vein of light.

Contrasts on the wall
Painted gestures work best when their surroundings are plain. A pale or gray-toned wall lets the color stand, a frame in wood or aluminum sets a clean end. Check size and weight before you clear the wall.
Durability
Paint on metal lasts best when the ground was prepared. Ask in the description about primer and protective lacquer. Avoid places with strong damp so that neither rust nor blisters form. For routine dusting, a dry brush with soft bristles does the job.
