Paper as a stage
A single sheet of paper can unite painting, collage, drawing and print in one work, which is what makes mixed technique so open. Mixed media on paper is for sale here in a wide range of styles, from delicate to bold.
Unlike canvas, paper has no tension and no primer, so it accepts material directly and easily. That is why shifts between materials show so clearly: a watercolor field here, a scrap of newspaper there, charcoal or gold over both. Mixed technique is a wide field. Some sheets look like small compositions of newspaper scraps and ink, others like painting with extras. Both directions suit living spaces as long as the frame does not become too heavy.

Look at weight, acid-free quality and adhesive. How well a sheet ages depends on these three things. Frame behind glass with a gap and avoid direct sunlight.
