Hard against soft
Graphic design and charcoal sound like opposites, but the contrast between sharp form and soft powder is exactly the appeal. You can buy graphic charcoal drawings in graphite for sale here for walls with bite.
Charcoal fills large fields with deep black, and graphite sets lines, patterns and fine lettering over it. The result is a drawing that is bold and delicate at once. Depending on the paper it turns out strong at times, almost fragile at others. From a distance these sheets read like screen prints, up close grain and stroke give away that everything was made by hand.

Framed with courage
A plain frame in white or black with glass and a broad mat protects the delicate surface. The wall behind may be light, which makes for a strong light-dark contrast.

With charcoal the rule is: never rub, never touch the sheet directly. Ask about fixing and delivery in the frame so that the drawing arrives with you unharmed.
