In the middle of the price ladder, graphite shows what it has in it: size, density and sureness of stroke. You can buy graphite drawings for sale from 500 to 1,000 euro here, including photorealistic works or sketches with presence.
At this level many originals have larger formats or clearly more detail work. Graphite can be built up in many layers until the paper looks like velvet. The hardness of the pencils decides how fine or strong the result feels. As size grows, so does the responsibility in framing, since a large graphite sheet should lie flat and not ripple.
