Inspiration:
The Dutch coast is on the edge of a huge drowned land: Doggerland. Doggerland’s rivers were lifelines, carving paths through the icy tundra and breathing warmth into an otherwise harsh and unforgiving land. During the coldest glacial peaks, when ice encased the earth, their flow was stilled, yet in warmer interludes, they returned, roaring with renewed vigor. Their waters transformed the barren plains into lush oases where life flourished. Along their banks, grasses swayed in the wind, feeding great herds of reindeer, horses, and steppe bison.
