This 2019 work is a visual historical document of enduring value. It brings together influential figures from world politics and cultural history on a monumental wooden panel.
What makes it unique is the rare and labour-intensive ‘pressage’ technique: original newspaper reports and photographs are transferred in mirror image and then meticulously revealed by hand.
The result is a dense, tactile texture that transcends the classical image (semi-relief).
The work functions as an artistic chronicle, transforming the transience of the daily press into a lasting
and exclusive work of art.
