Original artwork description
This painting is heavily inspired by Natalia Lafourcades song of the same name, and visually I took some verses quite literal, like removing thorns from the heart. The waterfall in the painting is our beautiful Salto Ángel, the highest waterfall in the world located in the Canaima National Park, here in Venezuela. My country is the good, the bad, the beautiful and the raw; my loved ones and I. And I carry it all inside, to the root.
ART SUPPLIES USED:
I painted this piece with the lightfast premium watercolors Schmincke Horadam, Sennelier and QoR, on acid free, 100% cotton, cold-press 300gr watercolor paper by the brand Arches. And, at the end, I sprayed this painting with a few layers of Krylon UV resistant coating for its optimal preservation.
