Reflections in water

I first made sketches and watercolors on location. I then used tem as studies to realise this oil painting on  a linen canvas.    The technique used, adding semi transparents layers of paint, gives depth and luminosity.   The extreme simplifcation  gives  a semi abstract aspect.it This oil painting is ready to hang and, due to its size, does not require framing. The sides are simply painted black for presentation purposes.
