Aaron Antes was born in Karlsruhe in 1963.
At the age of eleven, he entered the Odenwald School. There, before graduating from high school, he completed his apprenticeship as a carpenter.
During his community service, Aaron Antes founded his own puppet theater with an evening program for adults. Both the marionettes and the puppeteer were visible to the audience. The puppets were meticulously crafted from linden wood. Each marionette had its own unique gait, reflecting its character. One of the marionettes could move all ten fingers, another could grin and pout, and yet another could eat cookies on stage.
After a year at drama school in Ulm, Aaron Antes decided to study classical guitar in Wuppertal. For his studies, he played and used his self-made left-handed concert guitar, which he had built at the age of 17 while still at the Odenwald School. He also built a second guitar: a left-handed acoustic.
After completing his studies, Aaron Antes gave concerts. He recorded several CDs of his own compositions.
For some time now, Aaron Antes has been working on a new guitar program, developing his own five-piece finger technique.
In 2018, he began wood carving, and has since created over 150 pieces in this field. His work with wood also led him to explore painting in depth.
In 2024, he decided to make his work accessible to the public and organize exhibitions.
