Original artwork description

Oil on canvas and wood panel. 114 x 126 cm. 2002.
The painting depicts a triton, a mythological creature half man and half fish, intent on fishing but, instead of catching fish, catching tongues of fire. The painting is inspired by 17th-century Italian painting.
The work has been exhibited in several shows in Naples.
The painting is part of the Mitos series, consisting of 19 works, including paintings, sculptures, and murals.
