This archaic sculpture embodies a primal form.
It has a polished top and a sanded bottom.
The creative process took more than 15 years before the work took its final form.
The marbling of the material was created through a process in which volcanic ash with a high copper content formed the greenish veins in the stone. The pink-colored rock mixture acquired this unique characteristic more than 100 million years ago.
