In the context of the ALIEN collection, this work serves as a metaphor for the evolutionary journey. Lichens are unique symbiotic organisms, famous for their extraordinary resilience and ability to survive even in the vacuum of outer space. The animal face reflected in the drop symbolizes this transition: from the microscopic "alien" pioneer to the richness of sentient life we see today. It is a bridge between the artist’s Arctic roots in Chukotka, where these lichens are vital for survival, and the scientific theories of panspermia.
