The hand-built stone walls are like arteries that crisscross the Swedish landscape. Built by farmers to demarcate territory, some of them date back as far as the Iron Age. The moss-covered walls are a beautiful cultural heritage and are protected by law. This scene is from Orust and the wall is in the forest behind the cottage where I used to live.
