After having lived in capital cities for over 20 years, I moved to the quiet Swedish countryside in 2022. What a change of scenery! I am now surrounded by forests and vegetation. I love to take my pochade box with me and find a quiet place in the landscape to paint. At first, everything seems green and brown. But when you let your gaze relax over the different shades of green, other colours appear. The emeralds become blue, the sage becomes yellow, the olive green becomes purple and the viridian becomes burgundy. This painting was made plein-air in the forest behind my parents summer cottage.
