The essential in hand size
To think abstractly in a small space means saying a lot with little: a curve, an incision, a contrast of smooth and rough. Abstract sculptures for sale under 500 euro suit anyone who prefers to discover form and rhythm in the small.
Abstract sculptures at this price level are mostly compact, often made of resin, plaster, wood or metal. They live on a single thought: a sweeping line, a hole, a contrast of gloss and matte. Some works are made by sculpting, others are cast from acrylic or other casting material. Because they are light, they can be moved freely around the room.

Shelf space and light
Small abstract works look best on an open surface such as a sideboard or windowsill. Side light draws the contour and casts shadows that belong to the form. The description gives notes on dimensions and weight; also look at stability and at how the work is to be cleaned. A shelf with air between the pieces lets each form breathe on its own.
