Handwork in small format
Sculpting means creating form by taking away, adding and modeling, even in the very small format. Abstract sculpted works for sale under 500 euro are for those who love a handwriting that stays recognizable within a few centimeters.
Small abstract sculpted works come from wood, stone, clay, plaster or wax. The sculptor cuts, rasps or presses until the form is right. Tool marks are often visible and make up the appeal: a ground surface next to a rough one, a soft transition next to a hard edge. Because the format is small, every decision counts twice.

Check beforehand
Ask about material, dimensions and weight, and whether the work is an original or a small edition. A non-slip pad keeps the piece secure on smooth surfaces. Protect wood from radiator air and plaster from moisture. A soft brush handles dust and reaches into every groove. If you collect several pieces, line them up, and rhythm and proportion compare themselves.
