Rock with character
Stone demands concentration, because what has been chipped away does not come back. Stone sculptures for sale between 2,000 and 5,000 euro come in marble and other rocks, often with an abstract approach.
Marble is fine grained, takes a polish and lets light sink a little way into the surface. Other rocks look duller, coarser and earthier. Ground planes beside rough marks show how varied one single stone can be. Abstract forms like to use that for tension.
