Impression instead of likeness
Impressionist ink prints paint with light: soft edges, delicate tones, motifs that dissolve into haze. Impressionist printmaking is for sale, for example as a linocut or already under 500 euro.
In printing, impressionism arises through wiping, overprinting and thin layers of color. The ink stays transparent and lets the paper shine through. Water, gardens and streets dissolve into dabs that join in the eye. A sheet like this looks different in the morning than in the evening, because changing light brings the delicate inks to glow in different ways.

Quiet tones for light walls
Delicate prints need calm. Hang them in rooms with little pattern, ideally with a white mat and a light frame. The color layers are fine, so no constant light should fall on the sheet.
