Layer by layer
In silkscreen, paint is pushed with a squeegee through a fine mesh wherever the stencil is open. Silkscreens for sale under 500 euro suit you if you like rich, opaque areas of color and clean edges.
Each color needs its own screen, and the order decides the result. Where colors overlap, new tones appear, and the paper glimmers through only where the paint layer stays thin. Photographic sources can be translated this way too, then reduced to a few tonal steps.

Strong color on the wall
Silkscreens are among the most color-intense works on paper. They bring luminosity into rooms that are otherwise rather neutral and fit modern furniture as well as old buildings with high walls. A sheet in two or three colors can feel denser than a multicolored one.
Edition, number, price range
Silkscreens almost always appear in numbered editions, so the information matters. Up to 500 euro, original prints often come in small to medium formats. Ask about the number of screens, which reveals the effort. With silkscreens, a look at paper and margin pays off: a clean cut edge speaks for careful finishing.
