Cutting to a clean edge
Linocut is the natural medium for graphic motifs: sharp edges, dense surfaces, lettering in relief. Graphic linocuts with ink are for sale if you love strong contrasts.
For graphic effect the linoleum is carved out cleanly. Lettering, patterns and figures stand sharp in the print. The ink covers richly, with paper white showing only in a few places as structure. With several plates, colored variants arise too, where each color keeps its own surface and stands strongly beside the others.

Poster-like in the room
Graphic linocuts suit walls that can bear attention. In groups of two or three sheets they form a pattern. A slim black frame strengthens the clarity of the outlines.
Recognizing a hand-pulled print
A real hand-pulled impression shows slight irregularities in the ink and often an embossed plate edge. Numbering and signature are in pencil on the margin. Ask about paper and size. Collectors like that you can almost still see the cuts in the paper of a linocut, and that each sheet turns out a little differently.
